The applicant must attend a 40 hour course before he/she will be allowed to take the Medical Gas Installer Exam. The examination is a two hour and fifteen minute open book test to determine the applicants knowledge of NFPA 99, 2005 Edition. After the applicant has sucessfully completed the Brazing qualifications and written examination, he/she will be issued an "Active" P.I.P.E. Medical Gas Installer/Brazer Certification.
